Interview with Claudia (subtitles from from 7:03 to 39:06)

Claudia has been living in Exeter for just over 7 years. Before moving to Exeter permanently, Claudia was based in Florence with her family, regularly travelling between Italy and the UK to see her partner based in London. After a holiday in Devon, she and her partner decided to move to Exeter together where they have been ever since, although once the travel restrictions are lifted, she intends to move back to Italy for a while. We discussed her experiences of balancing cultural aspects from her Italian upbringing as well as the newly acquired habits and routines from life in the UK, as well as how these interact with her sense of identity as a result. Please watch from 7:03 to 39:06 of the link above for the selected 30-minute subtitled section, at which point Claudia begins describing her arrival and transition period in Exeter. On a technical note, having to conduct the interview virtually, over Zoom, meant there are a few instances of unstable internet connection where the video and sound are briefly interrupted. During these moments of pause, I simply kept the previous subtitle on-screen until the audio resumes, so as not to disturb the flow of dialogue.
